It is true that the notification LED light on the galaxy note 8 is useful sometimes to alert you when you receive a notification or when your battery is running low. Although this feature is much needed during the day, you barely need it at night, which is the reason why Samsung has integrated a setting that allows you to automatically turn it off at night.
Seeing a notification light blink constantly is distracting. Whether you’re in a movie theater and want it off, or just don’t like it, here’s how to turn it off.
Steps To Disable The LED Light
To activate this, head over to the settings:
- Tap the gear-shaped Settings button in the notification bar (or find Settings in the app tray)
- Select Display
- Scroll down to LED Indicator
- Uncheck or turn off the switch
Uncheck the LED option and you are good. Now your phone won’t brighten up your room late at night.
NOTE: The Galaxy Note 8 displays a red, orange or green LED while the phone is on the charger. Turn this off, and you won’t know when your phone is fully charged.
